Why am I being logged out automatically?
An automatic logout can occur for several reasons:
- Standby mode or network disconnection: If your computer goes into standby mode or your internet connection is lost, your session may expire.
- Inactive browser tabs: If a tab remains unused for an extended period, the session may be terminated for security reasons.
- Session timeout: After 5 minutes of inactivity (300 seconds), your session will end automatically to protect your data.
Why doesn’t “Remember 2FA for 30 days” always work?
In the following cases, this setting is ignored, and you will be prompted to enter your second factor again:
- You are using a different device or operating system
- Your IP address has changed (e.g., due to a different network location or internet provider)
- You are using a different browser or an incognito window
- Your login has been classified as security-critical, e.g., due to unusual behavior
Tip: If you experience issues, using a VPN with a static IP address may help improve recognition.
