Here are some of the most important conditions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>ask your distributor to activate the EDI interface<\/li><li>clarify which documents are to be made available to you via the interface, e.g. order responses, delivery notes (dispatch notifications) and invoices<\/li><li>clarify whether &#8216;Shipping with own delivery note&#8217; is activated for the respective supplier<\/li><li>please note that many distributors only support one service provider, i.e. if you already use an EDI connection, then&nbsp;it may not be possible to send documents to ITscope additionally as they are instead sent to the other existing connection<\/li><li>clarify shipping costs with the distributor, as these are normally not mapped via the EDI interfaces.<br><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Send orders<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All orders that have been created and sent can be retrieved through the <a href=\"https:\/\/guide.itscope.com\/en\/kb\/business-deals-methods\/\">deal API method<\/a>.\u00a0Orders can be sent to distributors in several ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>through the ITscope platform using the <a href=\"https:\/\/guide.itscope.com\/en\/kbtopic\/purchasing-board\/\">purchasing board<\/a><\/li><li>through the ITscope API.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Send orders via the ITscope API<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the <a href=\"https:\/\/guide.itscope.com\/en\/kb\/business-deals-send-method\/\">ITscope deal\/send API method<\/a>, it is possible to <a href=\"https:\/\/guide.itscope.com\/en\/kb\/order-and-quote-data-in-opentrans-2-1-format\/\">send OpenTrans 2.1 (ORDER) order documents<\/a> directly to the EDI interfaces of individual distributors. ITscope converts the orders into the respective distributor&#8217;s EDI format and <a href=\"https:\/\/guide.itscope.com\/en\/kb\/orders\/\">sends the order to the EDI interface of the distributor<\/a> on behalf of the customer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Orders are sent in the <a href=\"https:\/\/guide.itscope.com\/en\/kb\/order-and-quote-data-in-opentrans-2-1-format\/\">OpenTrans 2.1 format<\/a> (ORDER).<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Receive orders as a distributor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Distributors can currently receive orders in two different ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>notifications of received orders are sent by <strong>email<\/strong> to the <a href=\"https:\/\/guide.itscope.com\/en\/kbtopic\/salesboard\/\">deposited email addresses<\/a>. The distributor can then process the order via the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/guide.itscope.com\/en\/kbtopic\/salesboard\/\">salesboard<\/a> and update the <a href=\"https:\/\/guide.itscope.com\/en\/kb\/format-description-for-orders\/\">status<\/a> of the orders <strong>manually<\/strong>.\u00a0In doing so, standard order response documents are generated automatically\u00a0(ORDERRESPONSE, DISPATCHNOTIFCATION). The invoice order response document (INVOICE) is not generated though<\/li><li>orders are transferred from the ITscope platform to the distributor-specific EDI format and are sent electronically to the connected EDI system of the distributor (active list see below), where they are then processed. <a href=\"https:\/\/guide.itscope.com\/en\/kb\/order-and-quote-data-in-opentrans-2-1-format\/\">Order response documents<\/a> are automatically generated by the distributor&#8217;s EDI system and sent back to the ITscope system. ITscope converts the orders from the specific EDI format back into the <a href=\"https:\/\/guide.itscope.com\/en\/kb\/order-and-quote-data-in-opentrans-2-1-format\/\">OpenTrans 2.1 format<\/a> used by ITscope. The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/guide.itscope.com\/en\/kb\/format-description-for-orders\/\">order status<\/a> results from the <a href=\"https:\/\/guide.itscope.com\/en\/kb\/orders\/\">information and documents processed via the EDI interface<\/a>.<br><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Receive order status and documents as a customer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Existing orders and their corresponding\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/guide.itscope.com\/en\/kb\/format-description-for-orders\/\">status<\/a> can be retrieved using the <a href=\"https:\/\/guide.itscope.com\/en\/kb\/business-deals-methods\/\">deal API method<\/a>. The available\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/guide.itscope.com\/en\/kb\/order-and-quote-data-in-opentrans-2-1-format\/\">response documents<\/a> (<strong>ORDERRESPONSE<\/strong>, <strong>DISPATCHNOTIFCATION<\/strong> or <strong>INVOICE<\/strong>), that have already been converted from the distributor-specific EDI format into\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/guide.itscope.com\/en\/kb\/order-and-quote-data-in-opentrans-2-1-format\/\">OpenTrans 2.1<\/a>, are available via API with the <a href=\"https:\/\/guide.itscope.com\/en\/kb\/business-documents-method\/\">business\/documents methods<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Order response documents (ORDERRESPONSE, DISPATCHNOTIFCATION or INVOICE) are received in <a href=\"https:\/\/guide.itscope.com\/en\/kb\/order-and-quote-data-in-opentrans-2-1-format\/\">OpenTrans 2.1 format<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Terms of use To use the EDI interfaces, you usually have to clarify and set up the corresponding basic conditions with each distributor.
