class=\"wp-block-heading\">General order process<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are always multiple participants involved in an order process:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>external integration (shop, ERP, or own development) via the ITscope Deal API<\/li><li>ITscope platform\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.itscope.com\/en\">https:\/\/www.itscope.com\/en<\/a><\/li><li>Distributor EDI system<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>see further information on the subject of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/guide.itscope.com\/en\/kb\/overview-of-edi-order-interfaces\/\">sending orders, order status, order response documents and current EDI connections<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To make the ordering process as simple as possible, ITscope relies on the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/guide.itscope.com\/en\/kb\/order-and-quote-data-in-opentrans-2-1-format\/\">industry standard OpenTrans 2.1<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For API and platform users, this means that all documents are in one format.&nbsp;ITscope converts OpenTrans 2.1 orders received via the API and the platform into the respective EDI format of the distributor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This format is sent to the distributor in different ways (RESTful API or FTP).&nbsp;The distributor processes the orders and generates order response documents, which are sent back to ITscope via RESTful API, alternatively ITscope collects these documents via FTP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ITscope converts the incoming documents from the distributor-specific EDI format back to OpenTrans 2.1.&nbsp;An&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/guide.itscope.com\/en\/kb\/format-description-for-orders\/\">order status<\/a>&nbsp;can be determined from the incoming documents.&nbsp;The order response documents are therefore
