The price that is calculated and quoted for products in a quotation depends on the purchase (procurement) price that these products can be sourced for. There are two scenarios for price optimisation in the quote, one for the quote function on the ITscope platform, and one for the quote function within B2B Suite portals.

  1. Scenario: purchase or procurement price in the quote section of the platform:

In point (1), the same optimisation options as for the shopping basket are displayed. To carry out the optimisation, ITscope searches for the sources of supply that result in a global minimum, taking into account the shipping costs, i.e. the sources of supply with the lowest price.

If another item is added to the quote, the cheapest source of supply is automatically determined and set for this one item.

Additionally, please note that ITscope only considers your own partner network when looking for prices on the platform. For this, MinPricePartner is set as the cheapest source of supply.

Caution: realtime price lists and stock levels are not taken into account!

Point (2) should make it clear that procurement can be carried out via different suppliers.

2. Scenario: purchase or procurement price in the quote area of B2B Suite portals:

In terms of the optimisation possibilities of the quote function in the portal area, the same procedure applies as on the platform. ITscope searches for the sources of supply that result in a global minimum while taking shipping costs into account, i.e. the sources of supply with the lowest price.

If another item is added to the quote, the cheapest source of supply is also determined and set for this one item.

Additionally, please note that ITscope takes the entire network into account when looking for prices in portals of the B2B Suite. For this, MinPrice is set as the cheapest source of supply.

Caution: realtime price lists and stock levels are not taken into account!

The optimisation is carried out in the same way as described in scenario 1.

Important: if you want to ensure that your employees can only order from partner suppliers, you should limit the visibility of suppliers. This can be done by using our filter function. For more information, please take note of the following support article:
